Hannya pointelism
In this work, the Hannya mask is not just drawn—it vibrates, born from thousands of dots. This is not a static image, but a frozen moment of pure, concentrated emotion. All the fury, jealousy, and suffering that transformed a woman into a demon seem to erupt outwards.
There isn’t a single line here. Pointillism embodies the very essence of her state. Myriads of dots, like an electric discharge, form not only the mask itself but also the explosion of uncontrolled energy around it, resembling hair standing on end from terror and rage. Dense clusters of dots create the eerie materiality of the horns and fangs, while sparser, chaotic dots convey her intangible, spectral, and dangerous aura.
