“Sacrifice”

is a monumental and dramatic work of art, created in 2002. I brought a legendary Frank Frazetta illustration to life in a single piece of mammoth tusk (height 14.5 cm), injecting three-dimensional vitality into the fantasy subject. This work is an apotheosis of power and tragedy.
The composition is frozen at the climax of the action: the mighty figure of the warrior with a raised blade contrasts sharply with the helplessness of the victim and the despair of the kneeling girl at her feet.
Every element—from the flowing drapery of the cloak, which conveys a sense of swift, ruthless motion, to the delicate rendering of the hair strands—is flawlessly executed.
The choice of thousand-year-old mammoth tusk transforms “Sacrifice” from a mere copy into an eternal symbol of struggle and self-sacrifice.
